These Terms and Conditions govern your engagement with ShutterPhrase.in Photography ("ShutterPhrase", "we", "us") and apply to all enquiries, bookings, and project engagements. By submitting an enquiry through our website, requesting a quote, or confirming a booking, you agree to these terms. These terms are issued under the Indian Contract Act 1872 and the Consumer Protection Act 2019.

The estimates generated by the Project Brief chatbot on this website are indicative only. They are calculated based on the information you provide and are not a binding offer or contract.
A formal, binding proposal is issued only after a discovery conversation, at which point the scope, deliverables, timeline, and exact pricing are confirmed in writing. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the booking amount specified in the proposal.
Submitting the chatbot brief does not constitute a booking. No date is reserved until a proposal is accepted and the booking amount is received.
All bookings are subject to a three-milestone payment structure:
Accepted payment methods: UPI, bank transfer, cash, or as otherwise agreed in the proposal. All amounts are in Indian Rupees (INR).
GST: ShutterPhrase is currently below the mandatory GST registration threshold. All pricing is exclusive of GST. Upon GST registration, applicable taxes will be disclosed on all invoices and proposals, and the GSTIN will be published on this website.
All photographs produced by ShutterPhrase remain the intellectual property of ShutterPhrase (Abhishek Ashok) and are protected under the Copyright Act 1957.
Upon receipt of full and final payment, the client is granted a licence to use the delivered images as follows:
This licence does not transfer ownership. ShutterPhrase retains the right to use delivered images in its portfolio, website, and marketing materials unless a written exclusivity agreement has been signed and a corresponding fee paid.
Use of images beyond the agreed scope — including extended duration, additional territories, additional channels, or sub-licensing — without a supplementary written agreement constitutes copyright infringement and will be pursued accordingly.
Raw (unedited) files are not included in any standard package and are not provided as a default. Raw content delivery is available as a paid add-on only, when explicitly agreed and included in the proposal. Requesting raw files after the proposal is finalised will be treated as a scope change and priced accordingly.
Each package includes a specified number of revision rounds as stated in the proposal. Revision rounds cover colour grading, exposure adjustments, and basic retouching within the agreed scope. Additional revision rounds are available at ₹1,500 per round. Requests for structural changes (re-cropping, composite work, background removal) are considered separate from revision rounds and will be quoted individually.
The client is responsible for ensuring that the shoot location is safe, legally accessible, and cleared for photography. ShutterPhrase reserves the right to halt a session if conditions are unsafe or if required permissions are absent. In such cases, the session fee is not refunded; rescheduling will be offered at the earliest mutual availability.
ShutterPhrase's liability in connection with any project is limited to the total fees paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of profits, or reputational harm.
In the rare event of equipment failure, media corruption, or circumstances beyond our control that result in partial or complete loss of deliverables, our liability is limited to a pro-rata refund of the affected portion of the project fee. We carry professional-grade backup equipment to mitigate this risk.
ShutterPhrase will not be held in breach of these terms or liable for any delay or failure in performance arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil unrest, government orders, illness, or travel restrictions. In such events, we will offer rescheduling at the earliest available date.
ShutterPhrase treats all client briefs, project details, and business information shared with us as confidential and will not disclose them to third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, under Indian law.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India, including the Indian Contract Act 1872, the Consumer Protection Act 2019, and the Copyright Act 1957. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Changes take effect upon publication. Bookings already in progress at the time of a change are governed by the terms in effect at the time of booking confirmation.
